The need has never been greater
It was a very poor rainy season, which means literally no food in many of the little huts in the areas around Nkhoma.   Pictures of many of the community’s grain bins depict a frightening reality…they are empty.

Our Challenge
Unlike many non-profit organizations asking for donations, Y-Malawi does not have the support of a large staff, company headquarters, an advertising agency, or even a department to help raise funds.  We are an independent, grass-roots organization of churches and partners united by a passion and a love for the warm-hearted people of Malawi.  Whether we’ve been on a trip to Malawi or not, something has drawn us together.

With your help we can get the word out about the food, water and medical needs in Malawi and also continue the work of spiritual development provided by our six ministry partners.

The Plan!
Giving transforms the people of Malawi while it transforms the hearts of those that give. That’s why we are announcing the Y-Malawi “Giving Transformation Campaign.”  Our goal is to raise one million dollars over the next 12 month.  This money will go for things like water and food security along with healthcare and education for the people of Malawi, as well as the needs of our ministry partners who share God’s love faithfully day-in and day-out.  With the viral power of forwarding this web link, watching the video and God’s prompting of our hearts, we can easily meet our goal.  If you haven’t given through the Y-Malawi Online Giving Catalog you should give it a try.  It’s just a few steps with your credit card and you’re done.  We’ve made it super easy to give. 

We also have over 15,000 beautiful Y-Malawi Giving Catalogs printed and ready to hand out by our committed supporters.  What we are asking for is a commitment to personally hand these catalogs to friends, loved ones and business associates with a request that they consider a gift to Y-Malawi.  It is this personal touch that will reap the most benefit.
