I've been happily married to Lisa since May of 1987.  We have
four children... Gracie (16), Alison (15), Olivia (13) and Chase (10).  Lisa home schools our children. However, Chase has Down's syndrome, so he currently attends a special needs school in Vista. Our family loves to swim and play games together.  We love to vacation as a family and one of our favorite vacations each year is Forest Home Family Camp.

I enjoy riding street motorcycles, computers, reading and working out.

I’m passionately committed to helping people develop and build an intimate love relationship with God through prayer, study of His Word, and using their gifts to serve others and to lead them to Christ.  Encouraging others to live life to it’s fullest is also a passion of mine.

My purpose in life is... “To bring glory to God by pursuing a rich, intimate, authentic love relationship with Jesus Christ and by investing all the resources He has entrusted to me — my gifts, my abilities, my time and my money — in ways that directly contribute to fulfilling the Great Commission."

My priorities in ministry include building and leading ministry teams through partnership, affirmation, collaboration, empowerment and accountability.  I care deeply about designing and implementing ministries that reflect biblical integrity and cultural relevancy.  My values and desires are to maximize each person's unique gifts, competencies and passions as they take steps of faith towards spiritual maturity.

I studied Civil Engineering and Computer Science in my early years and later received my Bachelor of Science degree at Biola University for Organizational Leadership.

I was born in Hong Kong and moved with my family to the United States when I was nine-years-old. I was raised in a strict Catholic home. I attended Catholic school, Catechism and mass every weekend. I considered myself a religious and moral person.

On February 4, 1978, I accepted an invitation to a Christian concert at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa. I heard, for the first time, that it was possible to have a personal relationship with God. God opened my eyes to the sin that kept me from being right with Him.  He showed me that He loved me so much that He gave His Son Jesus to pay the price for my sins on the cross, so that I can be reconciled into a right relationship with God the Father.  I repented from my sinful ways, and took a step of faith in accepting Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior.  My spirit came alive and I instantly developed a new awareness and passion for God and His Word.

My call stems from a strong desire to serve God with all my heart and with all my life. In February of 1995, I was a Systems and Programming Manager for Lockheed Martin Corporation when the Senior Pastor at Cypress E.V. Free Church approached me. He asked me to pray about leaving a good paying career to serve full-time in my local church; it was not a difficult decision. God had prepared me for that day. As the responsibilities of the Executive Pastor position were explained to me, I saw God putting together the puzzle pieces of my life experiences. All the pieces came together into a clear picture that this was my purpose; to serve God in full-time ministry. I have never regretted leaving the secular workplace to serve first as an Executive Pastor for 7 years at Cypress Church, 2 years as a Small Groups & Events Pastor at a mega-church in North San Diego County, and then almost 4 years as the Pastor of Ministries at Mission Hills Church.  All along leading mission trips, consulting with churches, and coaching pastors.

As God reveals to us His will for our lives... we see even more clearly how He has prepared us to serve Him in this next phase of our journey.
